Upload posters and videos, put them in playlists, and send a playlist to your in-store screens.
Try it without a TV
Adds three pretend screens (one portrait, two landscape) with test pictures and a short video, so you can try playlists, blanking, reloading and schedules before the Raspberry Pis arrive. The screen wall shows them playing live, side by side, and they report in as online just like a real screen. Everything is named TEST, and one button removes it all.
How to connect a screen
Each screen has its own link. Open that link in the screen's web browser, press once to go full screen, and it plays your playlist and checks for changes every 30 seconds. It keeps playing the last content if the internet drops.
- Android TV / Fire TV / signage player: open the link in the browser (Chrome, Silk, or a kiosk-browser app) and bookmark it as the home page.
- Raspberry Pi / mini PC:
chromium --kiosk --autoplay-policy=no-user-gesture-required "LINK" - Portrait screens: rotate in the TV or operating system settings. Posters are shown to fit without stretching.
- Videos play muted. Add
&soundto the end of the link for audio.
Treat the link like a password. Anyone with it can see what that screen shows. Delete and re-add the screen to get a new one.
